This Professional Development Award (PDA) will provide you with knowledge and understanding of drinking water operations and the specific technologies and practices involved in managing water quality and drinking water treatment processes. The award consists of two mandatory units, each of 1.5 credits at SCQF Level 7.
The PDAs are offered on a flexible learning basis either at Cardonald College
Glasgow or at a location that suits you.

Delivered by industry experts
The HNC Water Operations is devised and written for the water industry in consultation with the water industry. A dedicated team of industry experts with individual specialisms deliver this course. You will benefit from studying the entire spectrum of operational areas and challenges facing the industry.
Cardonald Training Solutions has been delivering water operations training to large water companies and their employees across the United Kingdom for over 30 years. We have developed our qualifications to support the continuing professional development (CPD) of water and wastewater employees, through the expertise of our teaching staff and partners.
Progression routes
PDAs are recognised, certificated qualifications in their own right which can be built upon in order to attain the HNC Water Operations.

Professional Development Award
Entry requirements
Access to the Awards is at the discretion of the College and may require you to hold a relevant formal pre-entry qualification such as an appropriate S/NVQ, National Qualification, or equivalent.
Alternative access may be provided via a work experience route evidenced by a CV and employer testimony.
