This course is aimed at operatives working in Gas/Plumbing related industries, who are not currently eligible to complete ACS Gas Assessments.
The course requires attendance at Cardonald College Glasgow one day per week for between six and eight months. In addition to this you need to have a mentor, who is fully core gas safety registered, in place to assist you in completion of your portfolio. You are required to document each appliance you work on.
At the end of the course, learners will be eligible for assessment of ACS Gas programmes such as CCN1 and Appliances. Additionally, where applicable, learners will gain construction skills accredited qualifications in Essential Electrics and Combination Boiler Fault Finding & Rectification.
After successful completion of this course, you may progress onto CCN1 Initial Assessment.

Entry requirements
You must have SVQ Level 3 in a domestic heating subject and/or two years experience in the sector.
