This is the ideal starting point if you want to work as a Fitness Instructor. Whether you are seeking a career change, wish to add to your current qualification or would like to progress towards becoming a Personal Trainer, this course is for you.
Gym Instructors work directly with clients giving induction programmes and general assistance during their workout.
The course is a mixture of theoretical knowledge and practical teaching, including anatomy and physiology, resistance and cardiovascular programming, working with clients, health and safety, and teaching methodology.

- Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment
- Principles of exercise, fitness and health
- Know how to support clients who take part in exercise and physical activity
- Plan gym-based programme
- Instruct gym-based exercise programme.
Progression
You can progress directly onto employment or onto further training including NCF Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training and NASM Certified Personal Trainer.
Please note that deposits can be made for this course in the following way.
£175 (with the remainder of the balance paid prior to course start date. This can include ILA funds)
£197 (then remainder of the balance paid by 3 monthly instalments of £166. This includes £20 easy payment set-up fee)
£195 along with submitting ILA account (then remainder of the balance paid by 3 monthly instalments of £100. This includes £20 easy payment set-up fee)
